My larger Golden Angelfish was relentlessly bullying my newly added Crimson Flame Gourami. So after researching many options, I introduced another Golden Angelfish today, as well as a small school of 14 neon tetras. I rearranged the terrain, in order to reset the Big Angel’s territory as well. It seems to have worked!
My aquarium is a self-sustaining, ecology-based planted tank following the guidelines created by Diana Walstad. She wrote “ Ecology of the Planted Aquarium: A Practical Manual and Scientific Treatise.” It certainly changed my life of fish keeping. For the past 20 years my tank has been crystal clear, perfectly balanced, and thriving with healthy fish, shrimp and snails. It’s an endless source of joy for me and everyone in my family. My one-year old grandson immediately quiets and watches when I bring him in the room.
