Base of Tumamoc Hill, Tucson AZ, USA (R0005474)

Tumamoc Hill is a popular walking area. This house and bench are at the beginning of the road, a climb of about 210 meters in a bit over 2 km. The hill is actually higher but the upper part is blocked off to the public. There are scenic benches on the way up and at the end of the public area, but I like this one better. I have walked up the hill many times, always early in the morning, and never seen anyone on this bench. I’ve seen people seated on the benches further up the hill. The photos of loved ones on the table to the right and the many other offerings indicate that this is an important place for other people who may not be among the early morning walkers.

A lovely shot Tony. I can imagine people coming here to have private moments thinking of lost loved ones. It makes this place even more attractive.

HBM and have a good week ahead
