Der Erzfarbene Kanalkäfer (Amara aenea) am Blatt :)) The ore-colored sewer beetle (Amara aenea) on the leaf :)) Le carabe bronzé (*Amara aenea*) sur la feuille :))

I also discovered this shimmering beetle for the first time recently; it is known as *Amara aenea* (sometimes referred to as the "bronze-colored ground beetle") and measures approximately 6.5 to 8.5 mm in length. Its upper surface has a metallic sheen—appearing copper, greenish, bronze, or ore-like, and occasionally even nearly black. The antennae are mostly dark, though the first three segments are yellowish to reddish—a key identifying feature. It also has dark femora (thighs) with lighter-colored tibiae (shins).
The beetle has a compact, oval body with fine longitudinal grooves on its elytra (wing covers). These beetles are diurnal (active during the day), highly agile runners, and are also capable of flight. While many other ground beetles are strictly predatory, species within the genus *Amara* are omnivorous. They hunt small insects and aphids on the ground, but also feed extensively on plant seeds. :))
Pip1-2: Close-up shots of the beetle
