Depuis le XIIIe siècle, un pont en bois relie la ville historique de Büren au quartier de Reiben, sur la rive nord de l'Aar. Depuis, l'ouvrage en bois a été détruit à huit reprises par des inondations, la dérive des glaces ou des incendies.Il a notamment été détruit par les troupes bernoises lors de l'invasion française en 1798. Il a été reconstruit en 1821
Since the 13th century, a wooden bridge has linked the historic town of Büren to the district of Reiben on the north bank of the Aare.
