The striking carved figure mounted on the bow of the Mexican Navy tall ship ARM Cuauhtémoc is its official ship figurehead, which depicts Cuauhtémoc himself, the last Aztec emperor and namesake of the vessel. It is sculpted by the prominent Spanish artist Juan de Avalos.
