Taking during our safari in 2018.

This male was close, but not really that close. I had the full telephoto lens zoomed in, and the eye completely filled my view. This was one of the young males that was challenging us (in our open sided vehicle...)

I stopped using the big telephoto, and grabbed a point-and-shoot camera to make a video of the confrontation. The males eventually moved off, when they decided we were not a threat.
