intermodal transportation (PIP)

Still waiting for my delayed train at the station of Prato - Porta al Serraglio, I noticed that someone must take their inter-modal transportation strategies pretty seriously. :))
In the pip: yellow line and rails abstract.

It's patiently waiting for the train..
The colors and light are gorgeous in this gray day
I really like railway stations ... it always reminds me of the multiple trips that have been made and yet to be made
Thanks, Annalia

Annalia S. replied to J.Garcia:

Thank you, Judite. I agree. Railway stations are fascinating. I always find myself trying to imagine where passengers are going or coming from and the stories they carry with them. In this case I identified with the unknown owner of the bike, since I am very much a train + bike person myself.

Annalia S. replied to Gabi Lombardo:

Concordo, Gabi.

Merci, Malik. Sometimes I think it's a good thing to be forced to slow down and study what is around you ... :D

Interesting shot Annalia, I think I would have left the bike pointing North/South instead of East/West, but there again it does balance the image with the overhead booms carrying the power lines.:-))

Annalia S. replied to HappySnapper:

Thank you, HappySnapper. Train + bike is one of my favorite mode of transportation too, but I was rather surprized at this person's choice of parking location, especially since the train platform can only be accessed through a rather long flight of stairs. So I imagined the bike owner to be perhaps one of the students that attends the nearby University ... some young buck who wouldn't think much of carrying a bike up a flight of stairs! :D

Two beautifully composed images, Annalia. Finding some colour on a grey day was a bonus. :-)
