morning in the hood

Morning comes to my neighborhood, lighting up the skylight of a building in front of my window.

Yes, I know, it's not the Louvres Pyramid, but it is the closest I will probably ever come to an "early bird catches the pretty light" shot :D

Seen large on black makes for a pretty weird effect ...!

I am intrigued by the giant spider just right of the pyramid dangling on a silk thread !!! . It's the largest silhouette shot I have seen I think but somehow it works ok.

The "giant spider" is part of an antenna similar to the one to the left of the lit up skylight, but its support got "burned" in the glare of the light, so it looks like it's just hanging there in midair :)))
Thanks for the comment. I did try to crop some of the negative space, but felt it took away from the balance of the image, so I didn't.
have a great Sunday evening and sorry my answers are quite late!

The irregular profile is stunning and from where the pyramid stands out!
In large size, I think the effect of the pyramid is slightly attenuated
I like very much, Annalia

Thank you, Judite. I didn't anticipate how it would look on black and was surprised by the weird effect. it makes it look like a "cut out" of the sky!

The silhouetted buildings really give an interesting effect when this is viewed large on black. Stay safe.

Thanks, George. I didn't anticipate the effect of the black frame and it surprised me how disconcerting it looks. :)

Thanks, Grobi. Tiny fence in the sky! I did not use this for my HFF, but I did notice the improbable sky-fence myself.
Hope you had a great weekend!
