Feral fennel by the fence (PIP)
Until a few years ago, this area next to my workplace used to be set aside for community vegetable gardens. Re-appropriated by the the city, it is now just a big lawn. But the vegetables that used to be cultivated here have faithfully reseeded themselves every year and still thrive in the areas where the lawnmowers of the city gardeners can't reach, particularly close to the fence where this fennel plant managed to reach maturity and is basking in the evening sun.
In the Pip: tiny visitors enjoying the fragrant fennel.
A resilient HFF to everyone out there!
