piazza Santa Croce

The stuccoed façade of Palazzo dell'Antella in Santa Croce square.
In the PIP, the square and church from a different angle.
Normally, this time of year it would be crowded with tourists despite the scorching heat, but, as you can see, this year we have much fewer visitors, who get to enjoy the city without having to deal with the crowds. Much easier to keep social distances too :)

Beautiful Roman architecture Annalia, All those faded fine art images , I guess impossible to restore.

Annalia S. replied to HappySnapper:

I imagine the cost of restoration would be nearly prohibitive and a lot of the frescos are so damaged they are probably beyond restoring.
Thanks for visiting, HappySnapper. Sorry I am so late in replying.

Without crowds, enjoy your marvelous city

Annalia S. replied to J.Garcia:

Thank you, Judite.
I am enjoying it, it is such a unique feeling ... Still, I know that tourism is the life blood of the city economy and many people whose income depends on visitors are really suffering. the two sides of the coin ...

A marvellous building and interesting if faded artwork. I guess the lack of crowds is about the only benefit from the virus!
