fence and wild grasses - Pip!

Left in peace during the lockdown, wild grasses were allowed to "go to seed" all over the city. Here they catch the sunlight from the side beautifying a very plain garden fence.
In the Pip, another take on the same fence in black and white.
HFF!

Admirable ***** Je préfère la pip en noir et blanc qui présente un effet éclatant....!

Annalia S. replied to Malik Raoulda:

Thank you, Malik. I could not decide between the two, so I posted both :) Ultimately, though, I just liked the composition and the golden colors of the last light on the main image just a tad more than the black and white. I will be interesting if other people give their preference in their comments. It's always fascinating for me to get the point of view of other photographers!
Have a great weekend, Malik!

A tough call between these two images. The b/w for the contrasts, the colour for the light. I'll sleep on it. :-) HFF, stay safe and best wishes for the weekend.

Ah, King Solomon is keeping his own counsel ;)
In truth, I couldn't really decide myself ...
Wishing you and Pauline a great weekend, George!

I prefer the colour one, but I'm not a huge fan of B&W if colour photography had been invented first no one would have thought that B&W was a great improvement. HFF I hope that your weekend is a pleasant one

Annalia S. replied to Peter Castell:

Thank you, Peter. I do share the fascination of black and white for some images (must be my age ...), but this was a tough one. Also they are two different images, differently composed and it's a bit like comparing apples with oranges.
Wishing you a great weekend too!

Annalia S. replied to Xata:

Ah, Isabel, I do confess to being inspired by your work for this one ... Not that I can quite match it, but I think I had some of your delightful images of old fences and dried weeds in the back of my mind when I took these.
HFF and a wonderful weekend!

Lovely light and I like how silky the grasses look in the sunlight. A good mono image too, but I must admit to having a preference for the main image. Well spotted and captured Annalia. HFF and have a good weekend
