A sizeable chunk of the Italian workforce is back at work since May 4th (with PPE, social distancing and other preventative measures applied), but schools and libraries (as well as theatres, museums, gyms, cafes, restaurants and many shops) are still closed. The changing images on a large led screen behind a shuttered shop window in my neighbourhood seemed to offer an opportunity for a conceptual rendering of the cautious deconfinement necessary to (hopefully) prevent a new spike in infections.

And HFF also to those who (like many of my American friends and relatives), depending on where they live, may be confined, unconfined, deconfined or hiding under the mattress and shaking their head at the folly of their leaders ...
