Sorry I am late posting the answer to yesterday's "mystery photo".
Good job, Isabel! You pretty much guessed it. It was not in the freezer, however. We had just brought it up from our cellar.

For those who might be wondering why we have four bottles in the kitchen, they are: Tuscan (more delicate), Sicilian (more decisive taste), Italian mix (for general purposes), European (also for general purposes, but a bit cheaper). All four extra virgin, of course :)

Thank you, HappySnapper. I have seen the phenomenon before, but had never had a chance to photograph it and I thought it made for an interesting puzzle.
Sorry for the late reply. Working from home saves the getting to work and getting back home time, but still keeps me pretty busy and often by evening time I want nothing more to do with a computer ;)

I should have added Portuguese to the list of peoples who would be more familiar with olive oil, Isabel!!! Unfortunately, I do not know Portugal well at all and I have never visited there.
