awakening

On my neighbour's tree, the yearly miracle of green life reawakening.
Here's hoping virus-embattled Italy (and the rest of the world) can beat back this deadly, invisible enemy. Have a good day everyone. Help protect the grandpas and grandmas and other vulnerable people: Stay at Home!

Great to see the buds shooting like this.

I liked the contrast between the old dried out leaf and the tender green of the new shoot. The green world is truly amazing in its capacity for renewal!

Always good to see new life Annalia. News we are receiving that Italy is showing early signs of the lockdown starting to turn the tide. I hope so, we are a little behind you so the tide is still rising. We can go out for walks but avoiding places where other people will be close to us.

Thank you, HappySnapper. The numbers are not really dropping yet, but at least they are not increasing wildly as they were doing before. We can't even go for walks (except if you have a dog and even then you are required to stay out for just the time needed for it to do its business and you must stay in the vicinity of your home), so that's hard. I get my exercise by walking a figure eight loop in my garden over and over. By the time I am up to 10 laps, it's so mind numbing that I feel like I'm walking myself into an hypnotic state ... :D
