fence on a famous panorama - HFF everyone!

by Annalia S.
A couple of times a year I have business in Siena and I always contrive to go a little early so I can walk around and take some photos. So, from my archives, here's a bit of iron fence at San Domenico's overlook of Siena. On the right, Siena's cathedral, on the left, above the fence, the Torre del Mangia.

Thank you, HappySnapper. Sounds like you have been to Siena yourself. Despite its being, obviously, a very touristy town, I think it's the closest one might come to get an idea of what Tuscany must have been like in past ages. Maybe it's the absence of vehicular traffic in most of the center of town and the closely knit buildings that are still pretty much the same as in medieval times. Second only to Venice, Siena has changed very little over the ages. I love the feeling one gets of getting transported back in time.
Have a nice weekend!

Thank you, Peter. I am glad this was interesting for you. Not really the right time to visit Italy right now, but when the pandemic scare is over, I definitely recommend a visit in Siena!
Have a nice weekend.
