Thank you so much Keith for this lovely comment. I went to Art College when I was a teenager and then went to work with the Ministry of Defence as a cartographer. Of course in those days there were no computers to do the charts and maps, it was all hand drawn and I absolutely loved it. I think I was the only female in the drawing office at that time, it wasn't expected that females could do the job!!!! I got paid half of the men's salaries, although they couldn't tell one from another!!!! So tiny detail has always been my forte, although I need better glasses now!!!!

I'm not surprised to hear you were paid a lot less than the men............in common with most other companies it was pretty much the norm back then. At least it's much better nowadays (although still not 100 per cent equal across the board)!
