"I know indeed how to live in humble circumstances; I know also how to live with abundance. In every circumstance and in all things I have learned the secret of being well fed and of going hungry, of living in abundance and of being in need.

I have the strength for everything through him who empowers me."

-- Phil. 4:12-13

I love the unusual, the new perspective, and this is it. Sunrise, not the conventional shot, but the sun dwarfed like a small fire at the base of the towering trees.Oddly, the first thought I had was of the Jack London story, To Build a Fire. I don’t know why that is.

Frank J Casella replied to Steve Bucknell:

I don't know why this is either, Steve, but yes I saw the moment and it was an instant favorite …. even before I looked through the viewfinder … and better than the "money shot' I already had in the camera. Thanks for confirming this!!

I love this - the sombre trees with just that gorgeous hint of colour with the rising sun peeking through.

Frank J Casella replied to Jenny McIntyre:

Yes, Jenny, and add to that the soft snow on the tree branches … I agree.
