TOZ on Striding Edge along time ago

Striding Edge is a classic, thrilling Grade 1 scramble in the Lake District, leading to the summit of Helvellyn. Known for its airy drop-offs and "knife-edge" arête, it requires a good head for heights and scrambling experience, but offers some of the most dramatic views in England.

Ah to be young and fit again. Striding Edge, a classic here in the Lake District and I believe quite a hike and scramble to the top where you are here. A most wonderful view and a great memory for you. Well done.

Thanks for sharing with both our UK Landscape Photography and The English Lake District groups, Herb

ps been watching that excellent Julia Bradbury, Wainwright walks on BBC4 catch-up but sadly Striding Edge is not one of them.

Very Edmund Hillary TOZ :-)

You look very comfortable up on those rocks........you must have been very fit in those days!

I like the name "Striding Edge", but in my case it would have been "crawling on hands and knees with eyes shut Edge" :-))

A lovely image, which no doubt brings back some very nice memories!
