Lovely shot of this magpie Peter. We have magpies nesting in the big trees surrounding our garden but never thought of trying to capture one like this. In reality, I find them a real nuisance as they kill the young of our small garden birds. Last year they pulled the heads of four of the blackbird chicks here. However in themselves they are a fascinating bird.

They are a bit destructive and territorial , but I find the kookaburras around here seem to keep them in check.
