Yes, which makes it all the more intriguing for me. It is not a very "secure" gate, is it. :) Was it intended to be part of a more decorative gate or is it just to keep people from bringing vehicles inside. It does end surrounded by farmland, and perhaps they just are trying to discourage people from damaging their crop land. If I ever go down that drive (and don't get shot), I will try to learn more of the story and share it with my Ipernity friends. Take care.
