A 'Happy wall Wednesday' to all - from > Dj.

The very mixed brickwork and partial remains of 'Rufford Abbey' founded as a Cistercian monastery in the 12th Century, the Abbey came into being about the same time that the well known story book Champion,. 'Robin Hood' may have roamed the nearby Sherwood Forest.
The regular holes to the brickwork is where wooden joists would have supported further floors.

HWW, David J. A rough, but still solid-looking wall. One wonders how many of our present-day walls will still be standing eight centuries from now, and will a future "David J." be photographing them with some strange device we can't even imagine. Hmm, food for thought ...

Have a great day, mate.

Interesting. I wonder whether these walls were plastered originally.
