David G Johnson replied to Nicolas Mertens:

Many do it,.. they attempt to get through,. too deep - the engine stalls and it's get out and walk time... my sons' boss has his car still stranded on that 'Spinkhill lane' where he failed to get home.
Have a fine and dry day Nicolas,. and Cheers' from Dj.

Such a shame about the pub David.............what a disaster!

Oh, of course the flooding is disastrous too...........and I hope no one came to any harm. I find it amazing that people even try driving when the water is so high!

A nice bit of reportage sir!
