Beautiful evening light and a scene of great tranquility! Superbly captured David..!!

I was in Porthmadog in 2011 on a photograph trip with some friends. I think I may have been standing very nearly in the same place as you: www.ipernity.com/doc/keithburton/19476673/in/album/404815

Hi David
I like this picture very much!
I know exactly where you were when you took this. A spot I have stood on many times before!
The pointed mountain on the right is Cnicht, a very obvious landmark, and a great climb. (Done it many times)
The correct pronunciation is "Porthmadog". The old days the English 'Portmadoc' was used, but not any more.

Best Wishes, a nice weekend, and stay safe!!

What a splendid scene you have captured here David. The weather and conditions on your day here were quite different from the ones we experienced some years back. I never really knew which pronunciation to use on this town either! Great stuff, enjoy the rest of your trip.

Greetings, Herb
