Canada Tour Skeena River 1x PIP
Today we will travel along the Skeena River towards Prince Rupert.
The Skeena River is the second longest river whose entire course lies within the territory of the province of British Columbia. It is about 579 kilometers long from its source on the Spatsizi Plateau to its mouth in Hecate Strait near Prince Rupert.
The Skeena is a very important stream for salmon fishing, and several canneries are located near its mouth. The name Skeena is derived from a Native American word meaning "chasm."
