Fanal Forest Park - Laurus novocanariensis
The Laurel Groves of Fanal belong to the mystical Fanal Forest, a volcanic caldera plateau in the municipality of Porto Moniz, on the island of Madeira. Classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this area is home to one of the greatest relics of the Laurissilva forest, with centuries-old, twisted trees enveloped in a characteristic mist.
