I've known about these for ever! I hope to visit in person but my girlfriend who has the car (I can no longer drive thanks to Brexit - a long story) isn't interested.
I have seen similar contructions, but on a far less spectacular scale, in the villages of The Sierra de Gredos and Guadarrama.
I will have to impose my will a bit more!

Can always try ! LOL... an argument in your favor would be the ecological use of these, the ancients wisedom erased by commercial greed....?

Paulo Moreira replied to Xata:

Concordo, Isabel.
