Fried Pizza is a delicious leavened specialty typical of Neapolitan cuisine.
It is made with a classic dough of flour, water, and a small amount of brewer's yeast. Once the dough has risen, it is divided into small balls and rolled out into discs. These are first stuffed with ricotta, salami, and mozzarella, then folded into a half-moon shape, and finally deep-fried in hot oil until a golden, crispy shell forms.

By the way, the pizza I photographed before eating it was stuffed with mozzarella, tomato sauce and ricotta! The traditional recipe is with meat, but there are some other varieties, luckily!
