House of the Cord, Burgos
The House of Cord was built by the will of the Condestables of Castile in the fifteenth century . It was used as a meeting place by the Catholic Monarchs and Christopher Columbus after returning from their second trip to America.
The “Cordón” in its name refers to the Franciscan cord that frames the main doorway.
