This square is dedicated to some partisans who were captured during a fascist roundup in the mountains above Lovere on December 7, 1943. Among them was almost the entire Locardi group. The thirteen young men were imprisoned in Bergamo, where they were interrogated, mistreated, beaten, and tortured.
