S.Maria delle Grazie, Milano

by Adele
The Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, situated in the heart of Milan, is perhaps even more famous for its connection to Leonardo Da Vinci's fresco of “The Last Supper,” preserved inside its refectory . The sophisticated architecture of the church, attributed to Bramante, along with Da Vinci’s The Last Supper, are symbols of Renaissance Milan, as well as of a new era in European art history.

Well done, Adele!
Good composition, nice B&W processing.
But... a bit too aggressive for TBW.
May I suggest another group?

Adele replied to Marta Wojtkowska:

May I ask you what you mean by “ a bit too aggressive “, dear Marta?
Thank you.

Marta Wojtkowska replied to Adele:

Maybe "too visible" would be more accurate.
It's like with women's make-up.
TBW accepts common day-, business-, soccer-mom- make-up. No late-night or cabaret make-up, OK?
Art - N.B. / Monochrom is more inclusive :)

Adele replied to Marta Wojtkowska:

This could be a good reason for me to leave your “exclusive “group.
By the way I do not need any more “inclusive group”, thank you.

Marta Wojtkowska replied to Adele:

I am so sorry, dear Adele.

I assumed that you had read TBW rules (by Hugues Erre):
"Visible use of 'hdr' will not be accepted. As well as software of image editings such Photoshop etc..."
and that some clarification was needed.

BTW
Hugues Erre is not with us anymore but TBW is his group, his are rules and interpretations.
I am only a curator trying to keep the group in shape.

buona la scelta del B/N: riduce un pochino la drammaticità del momento evidenziata dalle mascherine. ottimo scatto.
un caro saluto e buona domenica, Silvy

Adele replied to Marta Wojtkowska:

No HDR in this image , no Photoshop ( I never use it).
You are a very good and careful curator, Marta.
Flexibility , however, is to be preferred to strictness sometimes.
Have a nice Sunday.

Marta Wojtkowska replied to Adele:

" Art - N.B. / Monochrom " is very flexible, TBW is not.
Is it really so bad that those groups are different?

I'd love to see your photos in both groups again.
Obviously it's up to you to decide what you are comfortable with.

Thank you and enjoy your Sunday, too!
