C'était une période assez magique.La nuit précédente nous avons eu une extraordinaire aurore boréale (extrêmement rare par ici) hélas je dormais et ne l'ai su que le lendemain matin. l'avez vous vue en Angleterre ?

Ha, ha.........same as you. People in our area saw it, but I was sound asleep through it all.

I stayed up late for the next two days...........but still didn't see it :-(

J'ai fais comme toi la nuit suivante mais le ciel était couvert. La veille la nuit était idéale; ciel dégagé et pas de lune. (Il faut éviter toute pollution lumineuse.)Je présume que dans ta carrière de marin, tu as du en voir ?

I've seen it several time Jean Paul, whilst I was at sea up in the arctic circle. This was probably around 40 years ago though.........and I didn't own a camera then..!!

Great memories though.
