"No one seems to know why the Vampire Rabbit sits in a Newcastle back lane but there is a story that the rabbit is actually a 'hare', during renovations of the building several years ago, the ears were accidentally knocked off and inadvertently replaced the wrong way around."
I had to look up info about this famous rabbit, Keith. he certainly looks grotesque. Apparently he used to be the same colour as the stonework, but has now been painted black with menacing droplets of blood staining his teeth and claws. A mystery!.

Lovely architecture and colour.

Thanks folks! I am more surprised that the back door to the building is so ornate when nothing else in this back lane has any archtictural merit (except the cathedral behind me when I took the shot).
