It was built in the summer of 1975, for the adoption of the Prince of Edinburgh, Philip Mountbatten, the spouse of the Queen of Great Britain, Elizabeth II. It is located just off the Narewkowska road, on the right bank of the Łutownia river. It gained its original name during its creation.
