Lurve the curve. The HS2 is not popular in the Midlands. It was supposed to be much quicker from Birmingham to central London, but now it isn't going into central London, so it will be no quicker at all. What an incredible waste of public money, and a blight on the countryside.

Hi dear LGM ~ Central London is still on the cards. Great projects of civil engineering are of great benefit eventually, especially if they ever get the northern lines done. Thanks for your good wishes ~ I wish you a good week ahead ~~~

Missed this on Friday Nick. it sounds like this bit, at least, of the HS2 might be quite nice when done. Whether it will really get up to Manchester is anybody's guess.
