I keep regretting that I've missed the last couple of springtimes for various health-related issues but then, equally, i've missed a couple of autumns too! The latter is being assuaged by shots such as this one here!

Hi Rosa, It is the number one place to capture Autumn colours contrasting well and good water for reflections in the appropriate conditions. Timing is the key and each year it varies in my experience, it is often later than you would think and for you a lengthy journey. Timing also plays a part in arriving , as the queues to the parking areas can get lengthy.. I always used to get there an hour or two before it opened.

I've just looked at their website and I see that they have introduced booking during the busy Autumn period

You have the Blue Bell railway very close by as well for plenty more photo opportunities if interested.
