My dear Peter,

The diesel loco looks so nice with the dark background! Beautiful bright colours, two red signals and a steam loco makes this composition nicer! I love the reflection of diesel loco on the steam loco too!!
So a wonderful capture!!

My dear Füsun
Your visit is most welcome. Thank you.
As you know, the scheduled steam locomotive had failed a little earlier, so a kind of unexpected picture of the diesel. The family on the bench, the lady controller, and the reflections seemed to make a pleasant restful scene, which I am pleased you have enjoyed!
Best Wishes, a good weekend, and keep safe,
Love Peter

I think they both have to be red. No question for the right one and as for the left one , I suppose that that the line has a single tracke and the switch is still occulied by the right train ...

Hi Erhard ,
Thank you very much!
I'm happy that you had a good look!!
You are correct in principle, but the left signal cannot be cleared until the single line token carried in the cab of the diesel is returned to the signal box, and all signals set for the diesel are returned to danger. Only then can the left signal be cleared, and a single line token withdrawn to be given to the crew of the steam locomotive. The crew cannot proceed until the have a clear signal and both seen and checked they have a token in their possession giving them permission to enter the single line to Alton.
Best Wishes, HFF, a good weekend, and keep safe,

Hi Nick ,
Your visit is much appreciated. Thank you!
I am pleased you found it interesting.
In this case things were a little disrupted due to an earlier failure of the Battle of Britain loco which should have been pulling this train.
Best Wishes, HFF, a good weekend, and keep safe,

Hi Anton ,
Thank you so much for your very kind visit.
I am so happy that you like the scene.
Unfortunately everything is late, and timetable in disarray due to an earlier locomotive failure.
