Glad you like it. Of course this was a gala weekend, and if my memory serves me correctly, I had a go at driving both those locomotives at some point. Also, I looked back through my other photos, nice to see that ALL the existing England engines were at Porthmadog. Maybe you were there too?

Quite likely, but I think I spent a lotvof time down in Minffordd Yard.
With my elderly father, looking at Hunslets ...
He was an apprentice at the Engine Co. in Leeds before WW2.
I shall have to see if I can find the pictures ...
