My dear Peter,
I really like this wonderful capture!
The boat looks so beautiful in this dark background, when leaving the tunnel.
Very well balanced frame! Very beautiful composition!

My dear Füsun
Thank you for visiting!
I am pleased you found it interesting.
When I arrived there I could see a bright light at the end of the tunnel. I took many pictures as it came closer, and finally emerged. I am glad you like the one I chose!!
Love Peter

Is that the entrance to the tunnel we just see in the distance!? I have to say I don't like going through the long tunnels but I certainly like your picture. It is beautifully captured.
Hi Rosa ,
Thank you so much for your very kind visit.
I am pleased you found it interesting.
You are right, there is light at the end of the tunnel..
This boat will now have to continue through 30 locks (the longest lock flight in Britain) to get to Stoke Wharf.
Hi Janet ,
Your visit is much appreciated. Thank you!
Glad you like it.
This kind of boat was our means of transporting goods before the railways came. Generally known as 'Narrow Boats' they were built to a standard size to fit the locks, but are now mostly used for leisure.
Best Wishes,
Peter

Well, I have learned something, as I thought the Caen Hill locks on the K&A in Devizes was the longest, but they have just 29 locks!
Best wishes, Rosa.
