This is actually a very short walk along the canal bank from the Black Lion pub www.ipernity.com/doc/2247998/48182568 It seemed to be about the only place with still water! In fact I could go as far as to say that when trains are running, Consall is a good place to me for many reasons!

Thank you so much for your seal of approval here! I am always pleased when you visit, because I know you understand the situations.....
This locomotive has just come out of a very long restoration, so if you saw it before, it was a long time ago! Caledonian Railway 0-6-0 # 828 has done the rounds a few years ago, (Severn Valley & Llangollen in autumn 2011), and it was painted bright blue too. Maybe this was the one you saw.
