I had not been here before, but always keen to try something new, (and get inside the catenary masts) I gave it a go. It might have been different taken from the opposite side (photographers were split 50 - 50 between both sides), but seeing a local train was due on the left hand track at exactly the same time, I played safe!
I'll try it again I think! Maybe next week! (Depending on weather)

I am so happy that you like the scene. As you will have realised, there is a lot of planning goes into these steam railway pictures.. The train passes in a few seconds, so it has to be right first time. This picture was used by the local paper..

but rather disappointingly the paper version only printed it very small.. Usually they give my pics quite a bit of space..

(Maybe cost reduction of the amount of paper they use!)
