Kassel, and a fake beggar

There was a gang of these 'beggars, including the fake hunchback (see www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSprgVjLFgk ) who seemed to slip out of character when they got round the corner...
This one is funny... www.youtube.com/watch?v=1vQpZuEABH8

Hi Steve,

Thank you for your very quick visit here! Certainly, while looking round the town (and making sure they were nowhere near a particular motorbike..) I saw the gang take it in turns doing the begging, and then sat round the corner discussing where to try next! I suppose that is what cultural enrichment does for you! Not forgetting ... www.ipernity.com/doc/2247998/47170824

Peter_Private_Box replied to Erhard Bernstein:

Hi Erhard

Your visit is much appreciated, thank you! Unfortunately this kind of scam is getting too prevalent in all big cities, and we have the same problem too. Just ask, "Have you ever seen a young person who is a hunchback, other than in the context of begging?"
In Paris other gang members watch which pocket your money comes from, then try to steal it soon after!

They certainly do no favours to the genuine ones!

Peter_Private_Box replied to Andy Rodker:

Hi Andy,

Thank you for your well considered comment. There is no need for the genuine needy to do this, because all our taxes get given out to support them! (Unless you are English in England!!)

Hi June

Thank you so much.
Unfortunately the same in all big European cities.. Begging, selling coloured string and calling it an 'African good luck charm' clipboard scams, pickpockets, and thieves..
Shame they can't go and do a proper job...!

Hi Peter,

It seems to be a sign of the times everywhere! It does make you very wary!

Peter_Private_Box replied to Rosalyn Hilborne:

Hi Rosa

Thank you so much for visiting.
Unfortunately our 'cultural enrichment' policies continue to allow these people to remain here, and our PC brigade don't allow us speak out against them.
The bit which makes me sad is that all the money (and housing, benefits, etc) these con artists get, could have been given to the genuine needy instead.

Best wishes and a good weekend
