Hi Steve,

Thank you so much for your visit to Harz railway again. This is certainly a great place to see steam locomotives working hard. From here it is a steep climb up to Brocken mountain, and these big tank engines are great for the job.

A terrific shot Peter and taken from a good vantage point that makes it look as if you are standing dangerously close tot he tracks. It gives it a real wow factor.

Peter_Private_Box replied to Ecobird:

Thank you so much Carol,

I am very happy that you have enjoyed this big German locomotive making its way up the mountain. In reality I was around 3 metres away from the track, so well out of harms way, but nice that you are thinking about it!!

Ah the Harz railways again. I have also stood by the big ten wheelers here. A fine capture with this very black smoke as it climbs up this hill. Well done.

Peter_Private_Box replied to Gudrun:

Hi Gudrun

Your visit is much appreciated - Thank you

I am so pleased that you like the exhaust. It is a long hard climb up to Brocken mountain, so the locomotive has a lot of work to do.

Best Wishes, and a good week ahead.
