My Dear Füsun,

Thank you so much for your kind visit!
It was a colourful spectacle, but as Emma said below, not many children, lots of old people..

Peter_Private_Box replied to Steve D:

Hi Steve,

Thank you for your visit here. Yes I must say that I was impressed by the length, and the height it achieved. I counted 150 of those little kites! Later another guy had something similar, but he couldn't get that one to fly well, and gave up after a couple of minutes. More pics to follow.

Hi Peter,

I'm very impressed that he can get it up in the sky! Very long indeed!

Peter_Private_Box replied to Rosalyn Hilborne:

Hi Rosa,

Thank you so much for your very thoughtful visit and comment here! Unfortunately I didn't see what he did to get it up,, but the string was tied very securely to a big steel stake in the ground.
Perhaps he has a balloon on the end of it... In any event I am sure he enjoyed playing with it, and it was much admired!

Hi Peter!
well ... really fascinated by the way you captured this joyful image of the man in black, so skilled in maneuvering his kite. It is said that the kite symbolizes the desire for freedom and above all the innate one of men to be able to fly .. but it is always hanging by a thread. Just like us who need other devices which let us fly. Here is the spell: in this case we manage it to fly.:)
I must confess I've never been able to manage a kite to fly!
Nevertheless, no hopless at all: I will be trying again in my summer holidays.:-)
Best wishes.

Hi Bea,

I am so happy that you have enjoyed it! Thank you so much for such a sweet comment!!
The truth is that this kite was anchored to a big steel spike in the ground. I had the camera just over the top of the spike. As for the guy in black, he didn't have much flying to do. All the kites did it themselves!
