I am happy that you like the style of decoration, and of course the composition of the photo, but.....
Not wishing to offend anybodies religious beliefs, this one looks cold, empty, no proper altar, almost giving the idea that you go there to get an hour of fire and brimstone from the preacher.
The Catholic one looked the far better one to subscribe to. It looks bright and welcoming, and the altar is just visible in front of the railings, so that everybody can share in the celebrations.
Since they are next door to each other, we can let the people make their choice!
It has to be personal preference and I'm impartial here; personally I dislike both styles! Most British people really dislike the rococo style, a view noted and shared by Pevsner. I'm the same, but the Protestant cathedral is unattractive too! Both are fine interior shots by the way!
Best wishes,
Andy
I am not knowledgeable enough to comment on the architecture, I will leave that to our friends who know better! However just looking at the two photos, and the mood conveyed, I know which one I prefer.
Having said that, I am pleased that you have appreciated the technical ability in producing a nice photo.
Best Wishes

PS, Jaap has a very nice close up of the Catholic church altar in his gallery.
Hello Peter a very well framed shot here from your perfectly chosen vantage point .. this interior certainly looks quite colourful perhaps to many of our churches but do note the differance between this and the rather lavish interior next door .. also that this church is devoid of people compared to next door too
Your visit here is most welcome and appreciated. Following your comment, I looked again at the decoration. It is only lines and patterns. There is nothing here to suggest religion, besides the stained glass window. Not even a cross anywhere, nor any statues, paintings, etc Most important, as you say, no people either... If we didn't know what a church looked like, we would have no idea what it was.!!

Thank you so much! Of course you are the expert on architecture here, and I am very happy that you enjoyed the two interiors.
A church is for the people, and without the spirit of the people it just becomes stone and paint...
It is nice to share the spirit too!

Glad you like the photography here. Personally, I can't quite come to terms with the lack of religious decorations..
