Of course she is a "survivor" of the XIX century, Peter lol !!! Fantastic landscape also the Mer de Glace is not what it was before also !!! Great and funny capture !! Happy WE to you !
Thank you so much for joining us at the Mer de Glace. I am not sure why the lady was dressed in these clothes, maybe she has been there painting the glacier for centuries...
You are so right about the glacier, it used to be level with this platform at one time, and since then we have had global warming.......
The picture on the easel is of a little hut right next to here.
Thank you so much! This is from last years expedition to the south of France. I did actually go down to the glacier, and it is melting before our eyes... Maybe not so cool as it should be!
What a fantastic composition! ... Easel and ladder and archaically-garbed lady (and a "fence" in there too) -- set against the backdrop of glacier valley and mountains ... a great capture by you: well seen ...
Thank you so much for visiting! I am pleased you enjoyed it!
Not exactly sure why the lady was so dressed, perhaps to get interest in her painting. Or to tell us about the old days... But I thought it a nice scene!
