Zittau - Germany
Ceated by sculptor Sergej Alexander Dott
The artists’ quarter of Zittau, also known as “Mandauer Glanz”, is a unique Pop Art district in the tri-border area of Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic. It was created through the colorful redesign of East German prefabricated buildings and is now a popular attraction for tourists and locals alike, thanks to its vibrant art integrated into the buildings, created by sculptor Sergej Alexander Dott
The artists' quarter was designed at the beginning of 2009. The renovation measures were implemented by the Berlin project developer Sparkling AG under the direction of architect Conny Gloger.
