Wuppertaler Schwebebahn
The Wuppertaler Schwebebahn is the world's oldest monorail system, dating back to 1901. The suspended trains run for 13.3 kilometers across the city in about 30 minutes, mostly above the surface of the river Wupper.

Yes ofcourse I know the the story about Tuffi ..
Fortunately she was able to extricate herself from the water and return to the nearby circus.
Throughout her life she continued to travel happily on trams, but never set foot in the Schwebebahn again :))
