Madrid, as seen from the end of our street!

OK, it's 40 km away but you can see Adolfo Suarez Barajas Airport (yes we're on the flight path and the noise can be mindblowing from about 5 every morning!) and the Cuatro Torres (Four Towers) - although they are now Four-and-a-half Towers as strangely a half size additional tower was recently added and it looks a bit stupid, imho!
Obviously you need to go on large here! Another Algete Street scene - from the street so it counts! No. 20.

I would prefer to live in Algete and have the view to Madrid than live in Madrid ! And when going to town is needed or wanted… it is not that far !

Nevertheless, I liked my studio flat in the centre of Madrid and, importantly, it was only a short walk from Marta's!

What a super view, although I would imagine it would be extremely noisy living that close to the main airport!!!! I do hope they don't fly all night too.

I do understand that you miss teaching in Madrid, but you should also enjoy being there with your sister. Are you going back to Cornwall anytime soon?

That's not a bad view from the end of your street, I could get used to it!

Andy Rodker replied to Andrew Trundlewagon:

Funnily enough I occasionally walk that far along the road but the views are better in the other direction in the main so I usually go that way!
Thank you, Andrew!

It's pretty amazing that you can see 25 miles, Andy. But I would also always prefer to live in the outskirts of a big city, like you do.

Andy Rodker replied to Angelofruhr:

Thanks again, Angelika. I may soon be living again in a tiny Cornish village, I just don't know yet!
