La Sierra de La Cabrera

Where I had planned to walk today and catch the last of the spring flowers. But today was just about the wettest June day on record so I ventured nowhere near! But I hope to get up there fairly soon, and before the relentless summer heat kicks in, which it will do in a week or two! This shot was a taken at midsummer but here, high up, it is still showing Spring wildflowers so I still have some hope!

Andy Rodker replied to Ecobird:

Yup! And I'm determined to get back up there VERY soon. It was a mission when I was incapacitated to quite a degree so I'm not now going to let a bit of mere drizzle stop me (I'm English after all!).
Thank you, Carol!

Wow you poor thing - rain today?? Well you went back at the wrong time - it's been absolutely gorgeous for the last few weeks and apparently is expected to last a few more!!!! It's great isn't it? - well not for you really!!! LOL

This is a gorgeous photo and like Ecobird says above - I too can also see why you love it there.

Andy Rodker replied to Jenny McIntyre:

My weather timing these past 7-8 months has been atrocious, Jenny! I'm trying to get some sun but my anglo lillywhite limbs betray my feeble efforts to catch whatever sun has been going. (None!)

The colours of the flowers, Andy, contrast well with the blue sky.
