La Sierra de La Cabrera. I recall it as a perishingly cold January day!

by Andy Rodker
Another good old granite extravaganza!
Maybe on large and then on large again for the detail in the granite features.
It's conceivable that I've posted this before but more likely back on Panoramio.

There are similar granite landscapes in southern California National Parks, Mojave National Preserve and Joshua Trees National Park.

A chaotic natural sculpture indeed, and the colours (sky included) and feel are truly striking!

It's lovely to see them all in their relative places. It's a very interesting area. No wonder you like it so much.

Good notes Andy. You wouldn't know it was so cold with that lovely blue sky.

At least it meant the light was crystal clear! Thank you, Rosa!

Extravaganza is a great way to describe this beautiful expanse of granite Andy..........it looks amazing. Full of lovely shapes, textures and other detail and nicely interspersed with trees, grasses and other vegetation. I like the shape of the Oak (top left).

It's good to see the snippets of information in the notes too. Very nicely composed and taken!
